You took the time to be here, we want to get to know you. We do this in order to keep conversations personal and familiar. Since 1997, we have asked users to sign their real name, first and last, to all posts in the PMDG forum. My last comment is very generic, but I think very important to people tweaking FSX - only perform one action at a time and keep as much as you can constant in between tweaks! So when I tweak, I only make one change at a time - then I go into the sim at the same airport, same plane, same weather EVERYTHING, and then verify my changes.1) SIGN YOUR POSTS. Also, if you are having bad performance, maybe look at turning anti-aliasing off too, I find that hogs quite a lot of resource too. With DX10 fixer, don't forget to run Nvidia Inspector and set that up as per the guide/manual. Personally I would install that back in, convert all your effects and see how that goes.ĭX10 requires quite a lot of further tweaking, so if you are all 'tweaked' out then maybe leave it for anotehr day Honestly speaking, DX10 is great for me as it has nice shadows and other effects - but if it is causing crashes or bad performance then I'd recommend sticking with staying on DX9. Thanks for that Jim in the end I just deleted everything and did a reinstall (pain in the a**) and everything seems ok, however I just noticed that I forgot to put back DX10 do I need it, I do not fly slow and low but mainly jets It can even generate flight routes for you and calculate the performance element during landing and takeoff if you have TOPCAT installed too.Īll in all though I think if you are leaning towards PMDG, then imo it is the better choice You could always use FS Commander to plan your flights too - it is free for 15mins I believe, good enough to plan a route, SID and STAR. That is how I done it before I went out and bought PFPX - now that is a great tool when flying the airliners like a T7 and 737. You can always do a step through on the FMC and watch the plan on the screen to check your SIDs, STARs etc. I hear you - I think the EFB is a good thing to have if it is available, but it must work well imo. Thanks Jim, I think I have most of that from Steve's DX10 fixer, the eye candy I am looking for which is on the CS777 is the detailed cabin including lavatories, galley etc, electronic adjustable captain seat and most of all the electronic flight bag, which must work of the flight plan and gives you chats of your SIDs, Enoute airways, STAR and Airport terminal
